Nothing major to report, but thought I would do a bit of an update since we are getting so close. We REALLY can't believe how soon we will be holding a newborn! Kinda crazy because we really haven't done anything to get ready...so different the second time around!
My appointment was on Thursday and the heartbeat was the lowest ever! I can't remember if it was 126 or 129 - the baby was clearly asleep! Baby is head down and the doctor said it should stay that way, so that is good news! I still feel movement A LOT and tonight Matt was watching the major movements going "Whoa...is that normal?!!"
I started school this week and the insomnia has been frequent. The baby is very active at night and it makes it hard to sleep. Unfortunately, the lack of sleep is making me feel like a very spacy teacher. (Not to mention that I get super out of breath - my poor students!!) Oh well...they don't have to deal with me for too much longer!

Kokomo and Charleston Weekend!
Reunited!
We were had so much fun in Charleston, but couldn't wait to get home to our Maddie! I saw her and called her name and she ran over with her arms up. It was the cutest thing ever!!! It brought tears to my eyes.
We had a wonderful weekend in Charleston, South Carolina. Matt's good friend, Eric Coker, married his beautiful and super sweet bride, Lindsday. I am super bummed we didn't get a picture with them!

Amanda and Maddie sharing hugs before the Moxon's had to leave.
Playing with the hula hoop in the backyard. It was cute - more like row, row, row your boat!

A major case of DEJA VU!
All along, I have been thinking that this baby was a girl. However, while we were in Mexico, I started to change my mind. There was one night that I couldn't sleep because I thought if it is a boy, it's going to be so foreign to me! I will be thrilled either way, but it just hit me!
Today I had my 32 week appt. and I had a major case of deja vu and I am back to thinking that it's a girl!
Here is a breakdown of my journal entry from Oct. 1st, 2008...
-Heartbeat 160
-Measuring small, so I needed an ultrasound
-Baby was measuring in the 70th percentile for size! (expect a 8-1/5 lb baby - she was actually 7 1/5 when she was born)
- Baby is active and had the hands blocking the face
-Between the placenta and the hands in the face, we couldn't get a picture
Here is what happened today....
-Heartbeat 159
-I was measuring just a little bit on the small side, so I needed an ultrasound
-Baby was measuring in the 33rd percentile for size! ( A smaller baby, but there is a margin of error as we found out with Mads)
- The baby is active and would not move the hands away from the face
-The baby was facing my back and wouldn't move the hands, so we couldn't get a picture.
So, I am back to thinking that Madeline is going to have a sister!

A tired girl snuggles with daddy and listens to music during landing!
It took Mads a while to fall asleep on the flight home, but eventually she did! We were lucky to again have the entire row.
We went on a sunset dinner cruise on our last night and had a blast. The coolest part was seeing the hundreds of manta rays around the boat. Sometimes they would do belly flops and other times they would flip - it was so cool! They put on a show that lasted for about 30 min. Both Matt's were going nuts! The captain said this was not something they see often, so we got really lucky.
I think that Matt was the only person on the boat that filled up his plate three times!!!

The famous Cabo arch
Pam (Matt Newton's mom) and Dennis came in Friday to watch the girls so that the 4 of us could have a night out together. Here is our picture taken from the boat of the resort we stayed at (L'Estancia). A HUGE thank you to Dennis and Pam for sharing their Cabo home with us. It was so beautiful and so nice of them!!!
Here is my 32 week prego belly! It was a conversation piece for all of the workers who tried to get us to eat at their restaurant and take their tours!!! My pregnancy was has never been as acknowledged as much as it was in Cabo!!!
So I tried a photo shoot without too much success, but did get a couple of sweet moments captured.
Madeline was not all about the camera this trip!
This was the "backyard" of the resort! As you can tell, it was a beautiful beach and we had a great view from the 5th floor balcony!
The girls enjoyed the view too!!!
These girls love each other!
Daddy was loving this!!!
Maddie and Daddy had some serious bonding time on this trip!
We decided to take a water taxi out to Lover's Beach (it's the only way to get there). We did not realize that we were in for quite an adventure!!! It was a little bit scary getting into the boat and it was a bit of a rough ride. Fortunately, Maddie was great and seemed to like it. I tried to relax and enjoy it with a tight grip on Mads!!! The driver was great and gave us a good tour. Madeline loved seeing the sea lions and kept asking for "more"! Once we got back to shore, Maddie got into Matt's arms and didn't let go. It was so sweet!
Matt and I went to The Office on our date night dinner. Matt and Laura watched Maddie and we returned the favor the next night!
Uncle Matt taught Madeline how to relax on the balcony.
I think Maddie knows that it's bedtime for her and for daddy! Matt was "getting Maddie ready for bed" and this is what I came to find!
Relaxin on the balcony! We spent a lot of time on it reading and chillin! Maddie started out the week clinging to Matt. Two days later she wanted to go on her own! She loved it! We would wake up, eat breakfast and go to the pool. Then we'd eat lunch (which Laura usually had ready to go for us- thanks L!), Maddie would nap while I read on the balcony and then we would hit the pool again after she woke up. After a couple of hours at the pool we would get ready for dinner and head out! It was so nice and totally relaxing...it really felt like vacation!!!
The dads and their girlies! This is the marina in the dowtown area. We went downtown all but 2 nights that we were there. It was really fun to walk around and there was always a lot going on! Matt spent a lot of time with Maddie in the pool. I think that they got to know everyone staying at the resort! One day a group of older ladies told me that Matt was such a good dad and that Maddie and I were lucky - I agree!! :)
Mads was a bit afraid of the ocean. Good thing the pool was amazing! A large section of the pool was what we called the "ledge" and Maddie loved it. It was only about 1 foot, so it was the perfect place to play with toys and hang out.
Crossing the bridge to go to the pool while sporting the pig tails.
Maddie and Claire loved playing with the morrocas!
Our first night in Cabo! We went downtown and ate at this super cute, authentic mexican restaurant, Mi Casa. They had live music, the colors were vibrant and there was a lot to keep the girls entertained. Both girls were amazing the entire trip!!!
Maddie loves trying on our shoes!
The flight on the way to Cabo. Our power went out while we were getting ready. It made for a hectic, crazy morning, but it all worked out in the end!!!
The flight attendant worked things out so that we got our own row! We had a little bit of a surprise when we got to the airport...there is a charge for lap children on international flights. Having our own row made up for that a little bit!
Laura told us about her favorite dog in Cabo, Bully, and took us to meet him. Maddie loved him too!
