We headed to St. Louis on Thursday night to celebrate Grandma's 8th Birthday together. We had a great time. Part of her gift was getting pictures taken. Here are some of our favorites... Claire is SUCH a good girl and rarely cries. Unfortunately, the most she has ever cried was during the photo shoot - go figure! We got some adorable shots of her anyway!

Madeline flew, yes flew, to Kokomo this past weekend! She has already done something that I haven't!!! Matt said she did great on the plane. She had a lot of fun in Kokomo and was so happy to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Welke!3 Men and a Baby!

She's has it down - drink while taking off and dose when you can! :)

The proud Uncle and Aunt! Madeline will have to wait to meet Claire when they are back home. There will be many pics and video of the first meeting. We can't wait to get these two together!


Claire was born on 8/8 in the evening. Laura was induced at 2:30 a.m. and had some very strong contractions. However, the cervix wasn't cooperating. Claire was trying to come even though the space wasn't big enough. That being said, they went in and did a c-section.

She is a peanut! 7lbs. 3 oz. and 20" long. She has stawberry blonde hair. She is too precious for words!

Sunday

Baby Newton is still hanging out in the womb! Doesn't she know that we can't wait to meet her! Come out little girl!!!

Madeline and Miles (we were in prenatal classes with Miles' parents) hanging out. These two were pretty tired at this point.

Saturday

We hope this is the only time Madeline ever ends up in the back seat of a police car!
One of the girls on the block gave Madeline a mask.

We had a wonderful time at the benefit on Saturday. Natalie looks great and it was wonderful seeing her and Chris. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so Madeline's first time at Bridget McNeils was not documented. We will get it next time. Once home, we went to the block party on our street. There were a ton of kids and Madeline loved watching what they were doing. She also got a tour of the police car!
