Easter

We took some pics of Emmie in her cute bunny outfit from the Cesta Family.

Easter morning - so much fun!  Maddie was too busy to stop for a picture.

The kids with their new goods from the bunny!

Taking pictures after church wasn't the best idea - all three were super tired!

 The day after...

Maddie had been talking about having an Easter Parade for days.  She made it happen and even broke out the face paint and went to town.
 Allie was the Easter Bunny!
 Claire was an Easter egg!
We went to see the bunny on Good Friday...it was packed!  Fortunately the kids entertained each other during the wait.

I snapped a shot before handing over Emmie.  I was told to put my camera away...whoops!!!

Our family celebration the Saturday before Easter.  The kids were wired!!!
 Celebrating Emmie's first Easter...
Maddie left some goodies for the Easter Bunny...

Maddie's Future Family

This is what Maddie told us this morning...

"Emerson is so cute.  I want a baby like her when I am older.  I am going to name my daughter Emerson.  If I have a boy, I will name him Dane.  If I have another baby who is a girl, I will name her Kristie and if a boy,  I will name him Matt."
Mads is a very good "mommy" to Saige, her AG doll.

Emerson's 6 Month Stats

Weight - 13.5 lbs. (25%)
Length - 25 1/2" (25-50%)
Head Circ. 41.5" (25-50%)

Our little sweetie pie is so easy to love!  I can't believe she is already "a half" according to Maddie and Dane.  She is super easy as long as I am around her and I think she could be held all day long!  Sometimes she will go to others and sometimes she won't.  She does like to jump on her legs and is attempting to crawl without much success.  If placed on her back, she will push with her legs and move around the floor.  She loves her brother and sister and enjoys watching them.  When we attend story time, Emmie is quite interested in the other kids and the stories as well.  We usually get comments about her and how attentive she is during that time.  She loves to grab at everything and anything and is constantly being toted here and there.  She definitely naps in the stroller or car seat more than I would like to admit.  That being said, she is not a great napper (my fault), but is sleeping through the night most of the time.  She can sit, but it is only a matter of time until she flops over.  I can't get enough of her and am treasuring my time with her.

Dane is 3 and a half! :)

Dane Train is growing up so quickly and he is such a loving, sporty, cuddly, smart little guy!  He is an amazing big brother and loves on Emerson so much.  He loves to call her Emmie-son and often says how much he loves her.  He will be playing basketball (his favorite sport), run over to kiss her and then go back to making shots.  Playing and watching sports are his favorite things to do!  During b-ball season, Dane enjoyed watching the Purdue games and could name many of the players by name and number.  He loves being outside and plays really well with his cousins and neighborhood friends.  He is still a bit shy in new situations and has his sister to watch out for him in preschool, activities and choir.  He is super self sufficient and gets himself all ready for school in the morning.  He is often wearing athletic gear to school and loves changing into PJ's as soon as he gets home.  He also likes to dress for whatever sport he is playing.  His baseball, football, b-ball, soccer jerseys are often worn each day as are his many helmets.  He is a good listener for the most part and an overall really good boy.  He doesn't like it if he gets in trouble and will often ask us, "Are you happy now?" He is a sensitive little guy who loves hugs and cuddle time.  He enjoys books and being read to.  He can write his name and draws basketballs and footballs.  We love him so very much!

April Fools

Maddie's mice!  She made daddy mouse, mommy mouse, Maddie mouse, Dane mouse and Emmie mouse.

The kids had a blast on April Fools Day this year.  We made pizza bread made to look like a bundt cake and fruit mice which Maddie made all by herself.  The kids also got to drink juice out of wine glasses.  They were so into it all day long - it was quite a tricky day!

Mid March Snow

Oh we can't remember the last time we were able to build a snowman in March.  His name was Olaf, of course!

4 Months Old!

I wanted to get a "onesie only" shot of Emerson to show her cute little chunky legs.

13 lbs. (25%)
24.5" (50%)
Head 40.5 (50%)
(She is smaller than her sibs at this age.)

Our little lady is so fun these days! She gives us smiles often and loves to be held.  Her giggles are precious and I have to get them recorded one of these days soon.  She has great head control and the doctor said we can give her rice cereal at night considering she still wakes up quite regularly at 12:30, 3:30 and between 5:30 - 6:30.  She is following her brother and not being the world's best sleeper.  She loves to nurse and is not a fan of the bottle.  She entertains herself by blowing raspberries all day long.  I love my little snuggle bug!

This CRAZY winter

1. We've never been so sick! Poor Dane has been hit with croup 3 times since December.  We aren't out of it yet.  Keeping my fingers crossed...

2. The snow just keeps on coming!!!

3. It's COLD!!!  We are all about being outside and playing in the snow, but many days it is just too cold for that.
