Maddie and her Barbies

Maddie is always sharing her toys with Dane!
Mads reads to her Barbies, puts them in the high chair, booster seat, baby swing and elsewhere. She usually wakes up in the morning and before anything else, asks to play with her Barbies.

Band Aids

Madeline loves her Dora Band Aids (DBA). She often says she needs a DBA when she has a minor fall. She was holding up her dolls and saying, "Uh-Oh" she needs a DBA and she would go running for them and stuck them to the dolls foreheads.

Reader Girl

Madeline LOVES books. We read them before nap time and bed time. She drags an entire bag of books up and down the stairs before and after she sleeps. Well, Miss Maddie has been taking really long "naps" these days. We often have to go and get her and find all of her books around her...I think she could read all day long.

Our Little Boos!

Two Weeks Old today! We can't imagine life without him!!! He is growing and eating a lot! He is a very good boy and has an easy going personality. He is awake a lot more these days and has bright blue eyes. I wonder if they will stay...they remind me a lot of Maddie's eyes, so I think they will! I love the way he looks at us!

We headed out to the River Trails Nature Center on Sunday. Getting out of the house with 2 is quite a challenge...especially with Mr. Hungry! Maddie had a great time and loved the animals. She noticed right away that the eagle was missing a wing...

Madeline had a great time on Saturday. I don't know that Maddie would have been doing this if g-ma or mommy was there....

HAAPY B- DAY ADDISON!!!

First Days at Home

Leaving NWC Hospital. We had another wonderful experience there.
Dane came home in the same outfit Matt came home in after he was born. It was a beautiful day!

Laura and Maddie decorated the outside of our house and G-ma W, G-pa W and Maddie did the inside. It was a fun way to be welcomed home! THANKS!!!

First night in the cradle...he did ok!

Dane's 1st Visit to see Dr. Lundblatt. She said he was strong and daddy was proud! :)

He weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. on Friday. He is a hungry boy, so he should be gaining weight quickly!

He is ready for tummy time as soon as his cord falls off!

We went for our first family walk on our first full day home. We went on our second one today and Maddie showed Dane how to have fun at the park! Things are going well. Sometimes things get crazy, but that is to be expected. I think that my lack of sleep before having Dane is helping me feel normal now, as it's what my body is used to!

Day Two!

Dane's first night went great! He was very sleepy and so were we! The nurses said to let him go 5 hours in the night before waking him to feed, so that is what we did...twice! He doesn't cry that much at all and like Mads, he likes the paci. He had a busy day today! He had a full examination (everything looks great!!!), a hearing test, a photo shoot, a circumcision, and quite a few visitors! I also had a lot of snuggle time with him today and loved it!!! Our family of four!
The Welke Crew! When Maddie walked in, Dane wasn't in the room. She asked, "Where is my baby brother?"

Mads got to eat in bed with mommy! She was all about the buttons and turning on and off the T.V. She also got the bed to go up and down!
