This is an e-mail from my cousin. He is doing something so AWESOME and we are proud of him. Please take the time to read this...
On the flip side, my website...which connects to my blog...which while there in essence, probably won't be interesting until we depart for Europe...can be found by going to http://www.walkinghungry.com/or just clicking on the text. Our main mission with this project is to generate awareness and funds for *Action Against Hunger/ Action Contre la Faim* (*ACF*). ACF works to combat *global* hunger (even in the USA) by creating long term sustainable solutions. In other words, instead of distributing food to the chronically hungry, ACF would buy up land, help the hungry to develop irrigation ditches and teach them the basics of crop rotation, food storage, and clean water usage. They also have a branch dedicated to working with peoples devastated by crisis (think the Tsunami in Asia and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans). As I stated earlier, our mission is to generate *awareness* and *funds* for ACF. With that said I hope you can find the time (because I know you are super busy with Madeline and work, etc.) to send word of this to as many people as you can, and urge them to send it to everyone they can, and so on. This is the part where I feel awkward asking for money. But the fact is simply that your donation, or any donation from the people you send this to is going to change someones life for the better, and probably save a life as well. That's *'save a life'*...as in reality, not just figuratively. So by clicking the 'donate' button via our website walkinghungry.com <http://www.walkinghungry.com/> you get connected to ACF's site where you can make a tax deductible donation directly to ACF (100% of your money goes to ACF, 0% comes to me). By donating via Walking Hungry you are letting ACF know that you became aware of their cause because of our project, and that you support our efforts of Walking Hungry as well as ACF.
