We LOVED Cabo!

We had an absolute blast and it was the perfect vacation.  Oh how we miss it!!!! A HUGE thank you to the Newton's for inviting us once again! :)

California

We traveled to Palm Springs and stayed in a really neat place. Unfortunately, my camera stayed packed for the first couple of days.  It was very hot, but fortunately, there was a nice pool to cool off (well kind of) in.  Grandpa and Grandma Welke had their hands full with 5 kids!

 The kiddos all dressed and ready for the wedding.  Aunt Kristin got the girls darling dresses and shoes that Maddie LOVED!!  Thank you!!!

 Dane LOVED Nico and unfortunately can't stay away and got him sick again!!! The poor boys had croup last time we were together and Dane had it again this trip. :(

 The kids LOVED the lemonade and water.  Every time I turned away, this is how I found Dane.  They had the best lavender lemonade!

 They loved dancing and we had a blast.  Dane and Ava headed home with the grandparents early, but Mads and Adds made it the entire night.

 After the wedding, we headed back to the Cesta's for a bit.  Who is that hiding under Uncle Joe's football gear?

 Then back to the Midwest!  Dane and Ava pretending to swim (this was their favorite game to play).  Dane let Ava borrow a swimsuit! :)

 We didn't have a lot of time, but packed in the farm, a BBQ and the zoo before we headed to Mexico.

4th of July

We had a really nice time in Michigan.  We enjoyed going out on the boat, swimming in the lake and going on an adventure walk.  As for the fireworks, the kids freaked out!  The dads put on a firework display and the noise was a bit too loud for our little ones.

 The kids ran inside and shut the door to the back bedroom. Tbhis is what I found when I went in after them...

The smoke bombs and sparklers were a hit at least!

June

We had a fun and busy start to the summer.  We've enjoyed trips to the zoo, play dates with friends, spending more time with our cousins, going to farms, the petting zoo, Kokomo, getting together with neighbors and going to the race track.  The kids also loved playing outside and ride their scooters and bikes everywhere...our stroller days are over for now!  Buying Dane a big boy bike was my best purchase of the summer!  He LOVES it and is already asking for us to take off the training wheels- ha!

 This is the only picture we took on Father's Day!  The kids adore their grandpa!

 Dane loved trying to lasso the bull and made up his own lasso games after trying his hand at it on the farm.   (It's harder than it looks!!!)

A family pictures at Arlington Race Track.  The kids LOVE going there and placing bets on their favorite horses.  Maddie picks by the name and Dane always picks the blue one (his favorite color) or the orange one ("like a basketball").  They each got to pick a horse for each race and Maddie's horse either came in 1st or 2nd for each race . The girl was on fire and was LOVING it!!  Dane didn't do too shabby either!

Grandpa worked with Maddie a bit in Kokomo and daddy finished the job a few days later.  She was a quick learner and LOVES riding like a big girl!  GO MADDIE! :)

The cousins performed many songs for us.  Once the little ones were done, the big girls put on a show as well. Unfortunately, no video footage of them.  They were just as cute! :)

Maddie's Last Day at Little Vikes

Maddie picked out her outfit to wear for her Little Vikes Graduation.  I was fortunate to have Maddie in the spring program for the past two sessions.  It was a wonderful experience!

Mother's Day

It was a great day.  We went to church and then we went bowling! :)   The kids loved the first couple of frames and then became more interested in the video games!

Baby in the Belly!

I am very behind on the blog, but we are very excited that we will be adding a 5th member to our family in October!  We told the kids after my 12 week appointment by going out to eat at their favorite place, Jason's Deli.  We had been telling them all week that we had a surprise to tell them.  We gave them hints and Maddie let out her smile smirk, but acted like she didn't know what we were telling her.  Dane then blurted out, "a baby"!  Then she smiled and said "a baby" too!  She was acting funny, but then her excitement was apparent as seen in the video. 

The first couple of weeks were rough - felt sick and super tired often.  It was more similar to my first pregnancy with Madeline.  Since then, I have felt decent for the most part.
