Happy Birthday to Grammie!

Dane graduated from preschool.  He went for 3 years, so it seemed like it was about time! :)

Dane and his teachers

 Dane with his buddies

Dane and Mrs. C, who really got to see him grow up!

Maddie was a panther this season!  She enjoyed it and liked being with new friends most of all!
Emmie is into dressing up, jewelry and backpacks.  We went to visit great- grandma like this!:)
Mother's Day with my wonderful kiddos!

One of Emmie's favorite things to do is draw mermaids on the driveway.  She loves making belly buttons and hair on the "girls."

Emmie shows off her card she made for Mimi.
Dane and Rosie hanging out at Roosevelt.  These two are headed there soon!

Lunch date on the front porch.

April

Emmie turned 2 1/2 this month and Dane turned 5 1/2 this month.  These 2 are buddies!  In the words of Maddie, "Emmie will miss Dane when he goes to kindergarten."

Emmie at 2 1/2 is a riot.  She's as strong willed as ever and has no interest in potty training.  She loves to dress up and she loves all of the Disney Princesses.  She likes to go to the library and pick out Sophia and princess books.  She loves to sing and dance.  She can also play well by herself and loves to play with little figurines and dolls.  She still has a strong liking for Frozen and adores her baby Abby.  She's a rock star on her scooter and she loves to play outside.  She's not so shy and will pretty much do any challenge her brother, sister and cousins put her up to.  They think it's pretty funny to have her yell "I love cookies" when we are in a public place.  Emmie's yell is something - that girl is loud!  She isn't loving naps these days, but is more likely to nap when her brother and sister aren't at home.  She doesn't want to miss out!  She also loves to ask if I fed the fish.  She's the only kid that doesn't mind getting her fingers stinky from the food.  She loves to give hugs and hugs always come with a kiss.  She's a lot of fun and we love her so much!

Dane at 5 1/2 is a joy.  He's a very sweet boy who and he's learning to control his frustrations.  Dane has become a pretty good sport and he loves to play basketball, baseball and soccer.  He also likes to do puzzles, play with his sports guys and draw sporty things.  He has become a very good reader and it's amazing how he just picked it up.  He also has a talent for knowing which number players are on various sports teams.  He knew the entire Purdue B-ball team and quickly picks up numbers of other players that he watches and likes. He loves playing with his sisters and his cousins and has also been very good at making new friends.  I know Dane is super ready for Kindergarten and I know he will love it after the first few days!  He is still a bit slow to warm up to new situations and needs a good nudge to join in.  I love Dane's sweetness and it's been so awesome seeing him mature.  Love that boy!

Purdue Bug Bowl - I don't think Dane or Emmie missed touching anything, but Maddie wasn't so eager to touch the creepy critters!

Petting farm - Emmie loved this little chick.  In her words, "It's so so cute!"

Dane and Allie love building together and putting together puzzles.  These two spent a lot of time together since they went to school together and often wanted to play afterwards.
Ice Cream to celebrate Claire being student of the month!

Emmie loves to wear dress ups and her fancy dresses!  Baby Abby got in on the fun too!

March

The kids were SO excited to celebrate Matt's birthday.  They made him SO MANY crafts and cards.

Thankful for some warmer March days!

Easter Egg Hunt with Great Grandma

Emmie is my dress up girl!
 Colorado - here we come!!!

Yes, they did push out that big old van!  Much winter like weather on this last trip to Breck!
The Easter bunny did find the kids in Breckenridge.  We had a nice breakfast and went to service.  We skied the second half of the day.

The cousins met up for Easter dinner - quite a neat surprise! :)

The kiddos hit up the slopes.  Skiier Dane found his groove this year!
 Papo entertaining the youngest ones!
A trip to Fuzzywigs (favorite candy store) then on a gondola ride.
Ice skating on our day off.

Cousin ski school day.  These kids had a private lesson at Copper Mountain and they all did so well.  We were so proud of them!

A tradition continued - the kids get to pick out a Colorado shirt each year.  I looked forward to getting a new shirt each year when I was younger.
Having fun after getting off the gondola.
