Kokomo Weekend #2

20 Week Update

All went well at our 20 week doctor appt. We did not find out the sex of the baby and are looking forward to finding that out in the delivery room!! The baby had the legs up and towards the face, so the ultrasound tech was only able to get us 1 picture to avoid that area. The heartbeat was 145 and the baby was awake and moving a lot during the visit. It's gone by very fast so far and we are sure that it will only go faster during the 2nd half!

Mother's Day Weekend In Kokomo

We had a wonderful weekend in Kokomo with a very special guest, Grandma Latham! It was great being with everyone and Madeline really enjoyed being with her grandma and grandpa. Happy Mother's Day to our moms, grandmas, sisters and other special moms who we love so very much. We went looking for some hop hops and deer - not too much luck, but it was fun! We did see lots of geese!

Matt and I finally got out to dinner to celebrate the new baby. Our plan was to see Iron Man 2, but it was sold out. Oh well!

Madeline actually let me play with her hair for a bit! She usually won't have any part of it...sometimes just putting in the bow is too much!!! She would much rather be on the go! Grandpa and Grandma Welke came up last weekend. We had a great time and Madeline bonded with them big time! Two of daddy's favorite things! Mads crawled right on in the box all on her own. She loves climbing into things, on top of things... she is our little monkey!Bonding with Grandpa and Grandma! Last weekend was beautiful!

Easter Sunday

We had so much fun this Easter! Madeline went on an Easter egg hunt, but was definitely most excited about the fruit snacks.  She went straight to the fruit snacks and wanted to eat them then and there!  So much for eating the homeade waffles with strawberries and Cool Whip!  We had a nice church service with the Newton's and then went to Grammie and Papo's house for a delicious late lunch/early dinner.  We all ate a ton!  It was a beautiful day!

SOMEBUNNY IS GOING TO BE A SWEET, SWEET BIG SISTER!!! We are expecting Baby #2 around Sept. 30th. I am 14 weeks and feeling just fine. This has been a different pregnancy for sure! I was conjusted for the entire 2nd month of my pregnancy and that wasn't fun! I am pretty sure that I also had a sinus infection to deal with. I am craving salt this time around and didn't have that "I need to eat NOW feeling with this one." There have been quite a few other differences, but I won't go into too much detail!

Madeline really liked the stage at the VFW. She was running around with a couple of little girls and jumping on the stage - they were the entertainment!

Walking into the fish fry. It's a tradition to go there when we are in town! Madeline did eat cod (fried, of course!), baked beans, apple sauce and onion rings...not a picky eater at all!

Madeline wouldn't get too close to great grandpa this trip...hopefully next time she will be more open! Claire however had a good time with him!

We call Matt's G-ma Mimi. We were surprised when we started hearing Madeline call my grandma Mimi. It lasted all weekend and once again, when she saw this picture she said "MIMI!" We don't think she has the two confused, she just must think this is the name for great grandma! :)
